What was the highlight of ZEN Hostel Boat Quay

Good.

Excellent location. Short walk to Chinatown for budget eating places. It was a novel experience! The pod was very comfortable and I had 2 pillows which was a treat.

People who snore should not stay in this type of place as the noise they make disturbs other people's sleep. Re breakfast - instructions on how to cook the eggs and sausages would help. (Microwave only)

Located at the water and next to bars and restaurants Very friendly stuff at the reception. Free snacks and breakfast.

The pods are nice but the mattresses could be a little bit more comfortable. It was a little bit hard sleeping on those. But it was okay. Nothing serious too complain. Just still think it’s a little bit too expensive for what you get.

Do not take it. Try Chinatown location, or any location close to MRT station.

Location is good perfect.

We came at 8a.m. And have difficulties to get in, regardless of instructions, sent us by email. We had bad expierience with such type of hotel. It should be somewhere in airport, to spend few hours laying down. No privacy at all. Me and my wife paid $40 per person per night, and spent two nights there. Price should be twice less for such hotel.

Clean and quiet hostel, with helpful staff

- The bathrooms were perfectly clean at all times - The mattress was quite comfortable - The staff was super-helpful (giving tips and arranging my early morning taxi transfer to the airport) - Great location, very close to the Marina - It's quite nice that they offer free snacks in the kitchen throughout the whole day (cookies, crackers etc.) - I don't know if it just happened during my own stay, but I was impressed at how quiet the hostel was on both nights; all guests respected house rules. I've rarely managed to sleep so well at a hostel.

The lockers to leave your luggage are too small if you're on a long journey and you're carrying a big piece. But it was still ok, I managed to fit it at a corner of the room

Everything was well organised and we were prepped with the entry codes before arrival, the pods are a lot more spacious than they seem! The common room was stacked with snacks and a good set up for breakfast

What was the highlight of ZEN Hostel Boat Quay

Overall disappointing. Good position though.

No croissants. Breakfast bleak, no egg-cups, one spoon, coffee undrinkable, no food that suited my taste, (I don't eat white bread.) Plastic nature of the pods was disappointing. The lockers, for instance, were as loose and moved., not a very secure feeling about that. The blind at the entrance kept coming out of its plastic housing.

There is nowhere to 'put things'. Everything you need must be kept with you. I will not be recommending pods, except to experience what space-saving devices people can come up with to maximise income.

Different experience in the city center

It has been an amazing experience sleeping on a capsule and it has a lot of facilities. The recepcionist allowed me to have breakfast before the time because I had to take a flight. You have toasts, sausages, toast, Nutella, cookies, cereals and more things that you can take for breakfast. The location it's really good and the bathroom and other shared places are very clean and confortable.

No eating in the room. Of course it shouldn't be allowed to eat a hamburguer in the room, but at least a snack or a drink... A bit noisy at night.

Good place!

Good place! My room was clean, fresh and well-organised. My questions were answered timely and the staff were helpful and friendly. In addition, my luggage was storage since 9:00am even though the check in starts at 3pm.

Unfortunately, bathrooms require more attention (they were smelly and dirty) as well as the breakfast wasn’t what I was expecting (Few fruits were available for customers and there is not enough place to take a seat at the kitchen).

Quiet as in space pod

| Smooth and quick check in - had my space pod within 10 mins | Quiet environment in the hostel - other travelers respect each other privacy and need for some solitude | Pod is super cosy and well lit with the blind providing extra privacy and some sound insulation

| Toilet bowl could be cleaner | Pulling the blind up and down is a bit cringe-worthy moment - it creates pretty loud clanking sound
